Trigger Warning: This post is all about triggers. Triggers are different for everyone. You never know when they are going to show up. I am sharing in hopes of helping others.
My abuser has been physically out of my life for years, but he is with me daily. I realized I was living my life in a tide of fear. Sometimes the fear was high over taking me completely. Other times it was low, but never gone.
I had to acknowledge and work through my Survivors Guilt. I can see that as a survivor my responsibility is to break the silence, support others, and live my life full out.
The first step to changing my tide was forces SHEROES United speaking out, supporting each other, and changing the world with love. Changing from living from fear to living from love has been a process. I draw strength for the amazing women and men that I have become associated with. I know I don’t stand alone and you don’t either. I believe that as we join forces, continue to break the silence we can raise up and save lives.
There are many amazing organizations that are also committed to supporting survivors and breaking the silence. I encourage everyone to find their tribe where they can heal, stand, and serve. As we band together we can educate we can change the tide and change the world with love.
There are many non-profit and government organizations that may be right for you.
